The ability to communicate effectively underpins every successful interaction at work. Connection has never been more important in our digital and hybrid world.

This practical session teaches something fundamental – that a small amount of time spent consciously developing ‘the basics’ can transform your personal impact. Pitches are more powerful, meetings are more efficient, teams are more effective.

Communication is a fundamental skill – there is no role won’t benefit from improving and we’ve found people of all levels have learnt something important.

It is especially pertinent to those who take responsibility for communicating with the outside world on behalf of the practice.

This might be at a project level – talking to contractors, fellow design professionals or clients. Equally it might be at a more strategic, practice level, talking to press and media, movers and shakers, potential clients and collaborators – or even the general public at large.

Communication is an ‘art’ not a ‘science’ – there is no right or wrong way to communicate – but there are certainly some pitfalls to avoid and some positive principles to consciously observe.

  • Learn to narrow the gap between your intention and impact
  • Gather some quick tips to instantly elevate your virtual presence

We’ll guide you through all of the above and more in this workshop, leaving you with a clear idea of how to communicate with confidence and poise in both your professional and personal life. 

This session can be run as a more intimate workshop for a small group of people (8-12) who want to go particularly deep into the topic.

Alternatively, we are able to run this session as an interactive talk for a larger group (20+)
